Whitman County, Washington

We connect people, support access, and advocate for a stronger local mental health system.

The Whitman County Mental Health Alliance brings residents, families, people with lived experience, providers, schools, responders, organizations, and local leaders into one shared community conversation.

Important: The Alliance is not a treatment provider or crisis service.

Our purpose

What makes the Alliance different

Many organizations provide important services. The Alliance helps the community see those efforts together, hear what people are experiencing, identify gaps, and move shared priorities toward action.

Mission

Connect people, organizations, and leaders; support access to mental health information and resources; and advocate for responsive, coordinated, and equitable services throughout Whitman County.

Vision

A Whitman County where people can find the right help early, wherever they live, and where local systems work together instead of in isolation.

What we do

Three clear commitments

Connect people and organizations, support people navigating a complex system, and advocate for practical community-driven improvements.

01

Connect

Collaboration and communication

Bring community experience, providers, schools, responders, agencies, and leaders together so people know what is happening and where coordination is needed.

02

Support

No one should navigate the system alone

Stand beside people with lived experience and their families, help them understand their options, and connect them with providers and community supports that fit their needs.

03

Advocate

Community voice and practical action

Use lived experience and clearly labeled local data to identify gaps, elevate community priorities, and encourage nonpartisan solutions.
